Gaynel Rae Moore Kirkpatrick, 67, of McAlester, died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at her home east of McAlester. Gaynel Rae (Moore) Kirkpatrick was born on April 11, 1945 in Hartshorne to Harl Ray and Bonnie (Parker) Moore. She grew up in Hartshorne, graduating from Hartshorne High School in 1963 and has lived in McAlester for over 20 years. She worked as a supervisor at the Social Security Administration until her retirement from civil service. She also worked for the State of Oklahoma at Jackie Brannon Correctional Facility and at the Carl Albert Mental Health Center in the finance department. Gaynel also owned and operated the First Class Outlet in Krebs for a number of years. Other than being committed to her work, she enjoyed fishing and working on genealogy. She is survived by one sister Melanie Ann Kirkpatrick of the home; one grandchild Brayden Kirkpatrick of the home; one brother and one sister-in-law. Fred and Wietska Moore of Lovettsville, Va.; two sisters and brothers-in-law Jeanie and Bob Adams of Lynwood, Donna and Ron Cooper of Anadarko. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents, Tom and Maud Parker. The family will receive friends at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Services will be held at Monday, May 21, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Chapel in McAlester. Rev. Gene Anoatubby and Rev. Corky Grubbs will be officiating. Interment immediately following at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne. Pallbearers are Frankie Dear, D.R. Jenkins, Darren Zearley, Richard Cooper, Jeff Cooper and Mike Anderson. Honory pallbearers Roy Spearman, Joey Duff and Tony Farley. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumely-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
