Dorothy Mae Moore Grace passed away peacefully at her home in Vancouver, WA on September 24, 2010 at the age of 96. Dorothy was born on October 13, 1913 in Columbus, NM to William Foster and Adele (Zimmerman) Moore. She was raised in Rialto, CA and graduated from the University of Redlands in 1935.
Dorothy married Wilson Andrew Grace on Sept. 13, 1936 in Redlands, CA.
After retiring from teaching in San Bernardino, CA, Dorothy spent two years teaching English as a second language to junior college women in Japan.
She was a world traveler, an avid baseball fan, and an artist specializing in Chinese brush painting, having studied in China.
Survivors include her son, Larry Wilson Grace of Saratoga, CA; three daughters, Carolynn Grace (Gordon) Zenk of Vancouver, WA, Mary Jeanette Conrad of Victorville, CA, and Beverly Diane (Bob) Beck of Highland, CA; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson in 1978.
A memorial service was held on Oct. 9, 2010 at the Cascade Presbyterian Church in Vancouver, WA. A private interment was at Montecito Memorial Park, Colton, CA, on Oct. 13, 2010.
