Charles William Moore, aged 70, died suddenly yesterday morning at the Washington County Hospital after an illness of two days. He was a resident of Dargan but was born and reared at Samplews Manor, son of the late James Thomas and Alice Eichelberger Moore.
He was a retired railroad worker of the Brunswick shops.
He is survived by son, Walter J., Sharpsburg; daughters, Mrs. Thelma Giffin, Dargan and Mrs. Violet V. Moore, Brunswick; seven grandchildren; brothers, Thomas, Falling Waters, W.Va. and John, Brunswick, and sisters, Mrs. Estella Kidwiler, Martinsburg and Mrs. Minnie Snyder, Keedysville survive.
The body will be removed from Eckles Funeral Home this afternoon to the late residence where it will remain until time of the funeral at 1 o'clock on Thursday afternoon at Samples Manor Church of God. Rev. Wesley Churchey will officiate with interment in Samples Manor Cemetery.
