Phyllis Juanita Anderson was born to Frank and Elizabeth (Crockett) Moody in Chanute, Kansas. She married Urban William Anderson in 1939, and they moved to Gridley. She received her nursing credentials and eventually retired from Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital. Phyllis loved train trips, quilting, and crocheting. She enjoyed Bingo and trips to Feather Falls Casino in Oroville. She was a member and Worthy Matron of Eastern Star. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband in 1996. She is survived by sons Donald, William and Robert, daughter Betty Lyons, 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
