Ida May Dotson was born Dec. 6, 1913, and passed away on March 22, 2014, at the age of 100 years and three months, in Upland, Calif.

Ida Dotson was born in Huntsville, Ark., to Cody and Mattie Montgomery.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Nina O'Neal; brothers Leslie, Bill and Mack Montgomery; and three of her sons-in-law, Donald O'Neal, Doyle Burgess and Harold Cochran.

She married Offie "Jack" Dotson on Nov. 6, 1928, in Huntsville. They were married for 64 years.

Ida worked for Upland Lemon Growers in Upland for over 30 years. She resided in Ontario, Calif., for 50 years and Alta Loma for 25 years.

Her hobbies included crocheting, beading and quilting. She enjoyed cooking and was told she had the best lefthanded biscuits and gravy by her husband.

She regularly attended the Church of Christ, Baptist, and Mormon churches and knew a lot of people, and was liked by everyone.

She was the loving mother of four daughters: Cory O'Neal of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; Wilda Burgess of Upland; Patsy Cochran of Las Vegas, Nev.; and Polly and "Robert" Baker of Rancho Cucamonga. Ida thought of Robert Baker as her son ecause he did so much for her.

She is also survived by 10 grandkids, June Greene, Kathy Wesley, Jerry O'Neal, Joan Deiner, Debbie Cantrell, Terri Moore, Doyle Burgess, Dale McCarter, Randy Baker, and Jeff Baker; 15 greatgrandkids; 17 great-greatgrandkids; and two great-great-great-grandkids. There were six generations of family in the area.

Officiating the service was George Ehrman.

Pallbearers were: grandson Randy Baker; and greatgrandsons Matt Wesley, Nathan Wesley, Jeremy Moore, Jordin Deiner and Bryan Greene.

She had 12 nieces and nephews: Verda DePriest, Kenneth Dotson, Wayne O'Neal, Charles O'Neal, Dale Montgomery, Ronald Montgomery, John Montgomery, Nancy Montgomery, Deanna Keegan, Tem Dotson, Tom Dotson and X Dotson of Hindsville.

Ida Dotson's service was held on March 27, 2014, in Ontario at Richardson and Peterson Mortuary. She was buried at Bellevue Cemetery in Ontario.
