Viola Ethel Poelstra, 87, passed away in Sandpoint on Sunday, December 16, 2012.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 19th in Coffelt's Funeral Chapel. Wayne Gunter will be officiating with interment in Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Viola was born in Dover, Idaho on January 24, 1925 the daughter of Irvin and Esther Montgomery. She went to the first grade in Selle, the second grade in Samuels, the third grade at Center Valley and the 4th through the 8th grade at Colburn. She also attended Sandpoint High School.

She cooked for Bonner General Hospital and worked for M and J Groceries. On May 28, 1966 she married Arie Poelstra in Sandpoint, Idaho. She enjoyed her flower garden, her vegetable gardens and canning the produce. She enjoyed sharing holiday dinners with her family and quilting for them.

Viola is survived by her husband Arie Poelstra; four children Bruce Timblin, Mark Timblin, Rex Timblin and Marcia (Timblin) Crabb; 2 sisters Pat Lissinger and Babe Luzier; a brother Orville (Bud) Montgomery; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephew and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers Foster, Lee and Aldus;
a daughter Pamela (Poelstra) Richards and a grandson Travis.
