She was born September 4, 1927, on her family's farm in Fallowfield Township, a daughter of Mike and Mary Lapushansky Molek.
Mrs. Lutes was a member of Holy Ghost Byzantine Church in Charleroi. She also was an active member of Pennsylvania Association for Retarded Citizens.
She was a homemaker, who, in her youth, worked at Corning Glass, where she met her husband, William Lutes. They married January 14, 1950, and shared 63 years of marriage together until September 4, 2013, the time of William's death.
Mrs. Lutes enjoyed polka dances and watching baseball. She loved everyone and they in turn loved her. She was just a very nice person. She will be sadly missed by the Baker, Sapko, Lutes and Molek families.
Surviving are two sons, Mark and Gary Lutes of Stockdale; a daughter, Judy (Craig) Baker of Stockdale; two grandchildren, Dr. Jeannie (Tony) Baker Picinni of Pittsburgh and Sarah (Tom) Baker Fess of Monongahela; three great-grandchildren, Tori and Mike Flaherty and Parker Picinni; five sisters, Verna Molek, Margie Gibino, Patty Hellman, Judy Stringhill and Betty Miller; and four brothers, Joe, Frank, Johnny and Andy Molek.
Deceased are two sisters, Dolores Golomb and Lill Zundel; and two brothers, Amos and Mok Molek.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Inc., 1008 Furlong Avenue, Roscoe, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, with the Rev. Christopher Burke officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
