Dorothy Moffitt Craven, 79, of 1093 Butler Chapel Rd., Franklinville, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. . . .
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Mrs. Craven was a native of Randolph County and a member of Franklinville Wesleyan Church where she was a member of the Womens Missionary Society. She was a former member of the Board of Franklinville Fire Department and also served with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fire Department. She also was Past President of the Franklinville School PTA.

She was preceded in death by brothers Jack Moffitt, Bill Moffitt, Royce Moffitt, Max Moffitt, and Rex Moffitt.

Survivors: husband, Jack Craven of the home, sons, David J. Craven, and wife, Pamela Whitaker, of Liberty, D. Reid Craven, and wife, Betsy, of Ramseur, Ricky M. Craven, and wife, Betsy, of Seagrove, her sisters, Rose Moffitt Auman, and husband, Charles, of Asheboro, Elda Moffitt King, and husband, Don, of Asheboro, Janice Moffitt Tolbert, and husband, Tommy, of Mt. Gilead, and her grandchildren, Jonathan Craven and wife Heather, and Austin Craven.
