Mrs. Helen Moffitt Currin of 309 N. 15th Street, Wilmington, died Wednesday, July 20, 1994, at her residence.
She was born in Sanford, NC, on December 12, 1909, the daughter of the late Edwin Graham and Mattie Clarke Moffitt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland S. Currin in 1963.
Mrs. Currin was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for over 50 years, and served as a Circle Chairman for many of those years. She was a member of the Cape Fear Garden Club, North Carolina Sorosis, and DAR.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Janet C. Davis of Aberdeen, OH, and Mrs. Betsy C. Wallace and husband, Tom, of Wilmington; five grandsons, Thomas L. Wallace II and wife, Tina, of Leland, NC, Christopher Clarke Wallace of Wilmington, George Donald Greene Jr. and wife, Jessica, of Wilmington, Garland Benjamin Greene and wife, Suzanna of Raleigh, NC, and G. Anderson Greene and wife, Karen, of Wilmington; six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
