Sexton’s Widow Dies at Home
Services for Mrs. Margaret Mockel Kraft, a former resident of 547 Seymour St., who died at home Wednesday night after a long illness, will be at 8:45 a.m. tomorrow at Curtin Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church.
A solemn high mass of requiem will be celebrated by the Rev. Alfred Holdredge, pastor of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in New Hartford, a nephew. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Mrs. Kraft was the widow of Charles Kraft, who was sexton of St. Joseph’s (German) Church 50 years. She was a native of Germany and resided in Syracuse most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s and a member of its Altar and Rosary Societies.
Surviving are two sons, Leo J. and William J. Kraft; two daughters, Mrs. Veronica Dixon and Mrs. R. Phillips; a sister, Mrs. Catherine Holdredge; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
