Karen Jane "Janie" Bobo, 59, of Chillicothe, passed away 4:59 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007, in Adena Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her husband and daughters, following an extended illness. Janie was born August 3, 1948, in Chillicothe, to the late Gerald E. and Mildred I. Gray Mitten. On June 9, 1968, she married Phillip M. Bobo, who survives.
Also surviving are daughters, Krin (Tim) Woodbridge, of Chillicothe, Kelli (Tom) Kitchen, of New Vienna, OH and Kara Bobo, of Chillicothe and her fiancé, Tyler Hollar, of Minerva, OH; three grandchildren, Taylor Woodbridge, Brady Woodbridge and Kellen Kitchen; a sister, Nancy (Terry) Chenault, of Chillicothe; four brothers, Larry (Ruth) Mitten, of Hallsville, Gary (Janet) Mitten, Joel (Shirley) Mitten and Rick (Gina) Mitten, all of Chillicothe; father-in-law, Robert Bobo, of Chillicothe; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathy and Fred Seymour, of Chillicothe; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary (Sue) Bobo, of Powell, OH; several nieces and nephews and a long-time friend, Susan Barnes, of Chillicothe. She was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Catherine Bobo.
Janie was a member of the Charleston Church of the Brethren and an active member of the Southeastern Booster Club. She was a wonderful cook and put her love of cooking to use by owning her own catering business for several years.
Services were entrusted to Ware Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
