The funeral of Miss Beula[sic] Milton was held at the Christian church at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon, Rev. Frank Stewart officiating. Miss Milton died aftar a protracted illness att[sic[ he[sic] home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Milton at 7 o'clock this morning. Her death was a great shockt to her parents and friends in Salida. She was 16 years of age, and had many beautiful qualities. Last year she was a student at the Salida high school, but owing to ill health she had not entered this session. She leaves a large circle of friends who with sad hearts paid a last tribute to her memory Sunday afternoon. The remains were laid to rest in Fairview cemetery Sunday afternoon.
