Mrs. Fleeta Miller Meredith
Mrs. Fleeta Miller Meredith passed from this life on Friday, July 25, 2015 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was 92.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 27, 2015 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Ken May officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 27, 2015 beginning at 9:00 am and continuing until service time.
Fleeta was born on January 26, 1923 in Coffee County to the late Thomas G. and Lula Jones Miller. She was a long time manager of the cafeteria at College Street Elementary School. She loved her family, cooking, flowers, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with her many friends.
In addition to her parents, two brothers, Dr. T.M. Miller and Dr. Wallace Miller preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Fund at 4015 Hwy 27 S. Enterprise, AL 36330, First Baptist Church of Enterprise, or one’s favorite charity.
Survivors include her son, Wendell “Buck” Meredith (Brenda); daughter, Helen Meredith May (Ken); grandchildren: Michael Meredith (Beth), Jeffery May (Brittany), Meredith May Teasley (Nic); great-grandchildren: Caisa, Truett, and Robert Meredith, Jenna Grace May, Rachel teasley; one brother, Alex Miller; one sister Mary Smith, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her lifelong friend, Patsy Britt and the Britt family.
