Dorothy Rebecca Miller Barton
WOODSTOCK - Dorothy Rebecca Miller Barton, 86, passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock.
Mrs. Barton was born Sept. 3, 1921, in Jerome, daughter of the late Rufus P. and Maggie Bowers Miller. She formerly worked for Bowman Apple Products and was a charter member of the Columbia Furnace Community Club. She was a member of St. Paul?s Lutheran Church and the church Sewing Circle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Barton; sister, Georgia Andrick; and brother, Bernard Miller.
Surviving are a son, Richard L. ?Skip? Barton and wife Diana of Edinburg; daughter, Linda Dellinger and husband Donald of Edinburg; sister, Dora Lee Bradley of Woodstock; four grandchildren, Darcy Dellinger and wife Melissa, Denise Dellinger and husband Tim, Travis Shlien-Dellinger and wife, Rania, and Tara Bowers and husband Steve; four great-grandchildren, Ethan Dellinger, Forrest Dellinger, Brice Dellinger and Phoenix Shlien-Dellinger.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at St. Paul?s Lutheran Church, Jerome, with Pastors Harold E. Burnette and Katie Gosswein officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Gardens, Woodstock.
Pallbearers will be Darcy, Ethan and Forrest Dellinger, Travis Shlien-Dellinger and Steve Bowers. Honorary pallbearers will be Denise Dellinger and Tara Bowers.
The Columbia Furnace Community Club and the Sewing Circle will attend as a group.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodstock Rescue Squad or St. Paul?s Lutheran Church Sewing Circle.
Dorothy loved her family, church family and friends. She was always willing to help. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
