Born Nov. 16, 1943, in St. Louis, to the late Lester Edward and Viola Mae Light Miller, she worked in the housekeeping department at the Super 8 Motel. She was of the Baptist belief.
On July 27, 1990, in Scott County, she married Carl E. Basinger, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Ronnie Jones and Clayton "Gene" Basinger; three daughters and one son-in-law, Christine and Jeff Wolf and JoAnn Green and Tracy Moore; and nine grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
One brother, Lester Miller, preceded her in death.
Visitation was until time of services at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Ron Winstead, VNA chaplain, officiated.
Burial followed in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers were: Ronnie Jones, Gene Basinger, Charles Carmack, I'Luster Combs, John Alexander and Anthony Stokes.
