George Robert Miller 56 resident of Twin Falls for 20 years passed away at his home 434 Fourth West Ave. following a 14 month illness March 7.
He joined the Twin Falls police department in 1937 as a patrolman and retired in 1938 because of ill health. He was born at Camas Parlrie Feb. 19, 1883 and came to Twin Falls from Star Valley where he had lived most of his life.
He was a member of the Latter Day Saints Church.
Speakers were Alma Wells, Bp. John F. Dixon and President J.E. Allred.
Music was furnished by Mrs Claude Brown, Mrs June Kirkman and Mrs Russell Roberson.
He is survived by his wife Mrs Eva Miller of Twin Falls and the following sons and daughters; Geo. Miller San Matoe, California; Mrs Mamie Ellis, Mrs. Martha Rogers both of Geyserville, California, Mrs Audrey Caudill, Buhl Idaho, Dick Miller, Mrs Wanda Standley, Miss Juanita Miller, Alma Miller, Miss Bonnie Miller, Miss Irene Miller and Albert Miller all of Twin Falls.
Four brothers; James Miller, of Idaho Falls, Jacob Miller, Freedom, Dan Miller Newpoint Oregon, and Omer Miller of Alpine Wyoming.
Fellow Police officers during Mr Miller's service in the local department were pallbearers. Police formed an escort for the funeral procession to Twin Falls cemetery where interment was made.
Valley visitors to attend the funeral were Mr and Mrs Bill Miller and Mr and Mrs. Omer Miller.
