Mrs. Middleton Rites Friday

Nora Myrtle Middleton, 75, longtime resident of the Appanoose County area, passed away Wednesday morning at the St. Joseph hospital. She was born in Putnam, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Jefferson and Lucinda Dodge Allen, on Jan. 13, 1892.

On Oct 6, 1909 she was married to John R. Middleton, who preceded her in death July 24, 1952. A son, her parents and seven brothers also preceded her in death.

She is survived Mrs. Seve Kondy, Centerville; Harold C. Middleton, Des Moines; Lavern Middleton, Numa; Mrs. Garnette Lobaugh, Blairsburg, Ia.; Robert Middleton, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; Mrs. Ruby Vidas, Numa; Archie Middleton, Independence, Mo.; Jack Middleton, Moravia; Mrs. Donna Armstrong, Las Vegas, Nev.; and Mrs. Elaine Kinnamon, Portland, Ore.

There are 19 grandchildren, two brothers, Elva Allen of Unionville, Mo. and Zora Allen of Cincinnati, Ia.: four sisters, Mrs. Neva Evans of Ames, Mrs. Mamie Morrow, of Unionville. Mo., Mrs. Minnie Montell of Clay Center, Kans., and Mrs. Ruth Helmer of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Mrs. Middleton was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Morford officiating and burial will be in the Felkner Cemetery. Friends may call at the Johnson Funeral home.
