MICHAELS, Alta M. - Of Flint, age 86, died Saturday, May 18, 1996 at Crestmont Nursing Care Center. Funeral service will be held at 11AM Tuesday, May 21, 1996 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Elder Kathleen Irwin officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Visitation 5-9PM Sunday and Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Michaels was born in Saginaw, Michigan on April 1, 1910. She married Edward Michaels in 1958 in Flint. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was also a member of the Alumni Association of Hurley Medical Center School of Nursing. Mrs. Michaels worked as a Registered Nurse since 1935. Surviving are step-son, Kenneth and wife Shirley Michaels of Gaines; sister, Louise Ketchabaw of New Era, Michigan; several nieces and nephews locally, and in the New Era area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, in
1962.
