Johnnie May Aschenbeck, 91, died Monday, Oct. 25, 2004. Born in Ellinger, she lived in Wharton and El Campo (early 1940s until 1973) with her husband, Gene Warren Aschenbeck, who preceded her in death by 46 years. Mrs. Aschenbeck moved from El Campo to Orange Park, Fla. in 1973.

She is survived by her sisters, Virginia Samohyl and Blanche Stern; brother, Ellwood Meyer; and children, Gene Aschenbeck of Orange Park, John Chris Aschenbeck of Rio Rancho, N.M. and Amanda Hudson of Starke, Fla. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2004 at Advent Lutheran Church in Orange Park. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
