Stanley LeRoy Meyer was born July 9, 1921 in Diamond Lake Township, Lincoln County, Minnesotato Peter and Mary (Christensen) Meyer. He attended country school and attended Diamond Lake Lutheran Church in Diamond Lake Township. He served in the United States ARmy during World War II. Upon his return he married Emma Crosby. To this union two shons were born, Stanley L, Meyer Jr. and Steven Wayne MEyer. The family lived in Sioux Falls.

On February 14, 1970 he married Darlene Olson in Watertown S.D. The couple resided int he Twin cities where Stanley worked for Pako Corporation for over 17 years. He retired in 1987 and the couple moved to Tyler where they have lived since. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and visiting people. He was a member of the A.C. Hansen American Legion ost 185 of Tyler.

December 15, 1995 Stanley LeRoy Meyer died at the Veterans Administrtion Hospital in Sioux Falls SD, at the age of 74 years, five months and six days.

Stanley is survived by his wife Darlene of Tyler, Son Stanley L. Meyer Jr. "Butch" of St. Louis MO; two grand daughters, Dawn Bak of St. Louis and Christina Meyer Jackson of Lipan TX. and one great-grandaghter, Bethany Bak. He is also survived by one brother and one sister, Soren and his wife Foorene Meyer of Sioux Falls and Thelma Showalter of Wilmont.

Memorial services for Stanley L. Meyer were held Monday Dec. 18, 1995, 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Lake Benton, MN. Offiiant was Chaplain Raymond H. Peterson. Diane Evers was organist and Chaplain Raymond H. Peterson, solosit, san, "Our Father Has Light in His Window" and "On the Wings of a Snow White Dove".

Honorary asket bearers were Lester Sanderson, Elmer Ruten, Marvin Kuhlman, Loyd Hall, Mervin Peterson and Dick Pinckney.

Interment was at Diamond Lake Cemetery, Diamond Lake Township, Minnesota.

Arrangements were made by Sunset Funeral Home, Echo, MN, Time E. Kulow and Jim Palm, directors.
