In 1925, Freda and her family moved to Watterson community where she met her husband Lawrence. They married on February 7, 1934. Jobs were scarce in this farming community. They worked wherever they could find work; working the fields, picking cotton, gathering pecans or doing laundry for other people. In the mid-40's, Freda and Lawrence worked at the Austin State School as caregivers on the night-shift. In the mid-70's Freda transferred to Travis State School working the day-shift until she retired in 1977.
After retiring, Freda stayed busy taking care of her mom until her death and spending time with her sister, Emma and caring for her until her death in 1989. She enjoyed watching wrestling, football, Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right. Her favorite food was fried chicken which she ate almost daily and Dr. Pepper. She continued to mow her lawn until she was in her early 90's.
Freda was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church Rockne and St. Ann's Society. Rosary and Funeral Mass will both be at Sacred Heart Church Rockne.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence Kadura, brothers Richard, Anton, Adolph and sister Emma Meuth Hoffman.
She is survived by her brother Bill Meuth of Dale, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
