Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Shields Funeral Chapel, Oglesby, with an 11 a.m. Mass in Holy Family Church, Oglesby. The Rev. Gary Blake, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at St. Vincent's Cemetery, La Salle.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral chapel with the rosary at 1:45 p.m.
Anne was born Jan. 12, 1927, in La Salle to Herman and Mary (Herrington) Mersch. She married Robert Ebener on Dec. 14, 1946, in St. Patrick's Church, La Salle.
She worked at Westclox and later as a librarian for both Oglesby Public Library and Holy Family School. She was a member of Holy Family Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and Daughters of Isabella. She was a member of Holy Family and St. Bede Academy Mother's clubs and a Lady Elk. During World War II she worked as a candy striper.
Anne was a volunteer at the Hygienic Institute and Illinois Valley chapter of the American Red Cross in Peru. She also was an avid bridge player and belonged to multiple bridge clubs.
Survivors are her husband, Robert of Oglesby; five sons, Jim (Melissa) of Orange Park, Fla., Dan (De) of Davenport, Iowa, Josh (Shelley) of Chatham, Bill (Lisa) of Oglesby and Steve of Tonica; five daughters, Pat (Bill) Schneider of Jacksonville, Fla., Barbara (Steve) Pabian of Oglesby, Mary Beth (Greg) Foemmel of Oglesby, Teresa (Richard) Yusem of Boca Raton, Fla., and Carol (John) Happ of Peru; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law. Irene Mersch of East Moline.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Martha in 1967; two grandsons, Joseph in 1994 and Ben in 2007; and four brothers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Holy Family Church.
