Funeral services are pending at West Funeral Home for Mrs. Manuela Medina, 62, a life-long resident of Carlsbad who died Thursday night in a local hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Medina, Carlsbad; seven sons, Sgt. Joe Mendez, Ft. Lewis, Wash., Lupe Mendez, Roswell, David Mendez, Las Cruces, Manuel Mendez, Hobbs, and James, Willie and Rudy Mendez, all of Carlsbad; three daughters, Mrs. Vickie Rodriguez and Mrs. Eduardo Fierro, both of Carlsbad, and Mrs. Vicente Galindo, now living in Germany; a brother, Blas Cordova, Carlsbad; two sisters, Mrs. Jose Contreras, Carlsbad, and Mrs. Helen Mora, Pecos, Tex.; and 19 grandchildren.

Services for Manuela Mendias Medina, 62, who died Dec. 23, 1976, in a local hospital, will be at West Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday at 3 p.m., Bishop Phillip Prey officiating. A rosary will be held today at 7 p.m. at West Funeral Home.
Mrs. Medina, a housewife who resided at 1604 Georgia, was born in Carlsbad and lived here all her life. She was born July 29, 1914. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Pall bearers will be Lupe Mendez, David Mendez, Manuel Mendez, James Mendez, Willie Mendez and Rudy Mendez.
