Washington, UT - Brigitta Marianne Launer, 74, died October 16, 2009 in Washington, Utah. Brigitta was born on August 14, 1935 in Nordlingen, Germany to Anton and Luise Melzer. She Married Bernhard Hermann Launer. They were married in Nordlinging, Germany in 1953.
Brigitta was a loving wife and mother. She and her husband Berni shared a wonderful life together for 56 years. Brigitta was raised in Gemany and immigrated to Canada in 1959. Brigitta and Berni eventually settled in Southern California where they raised their only son Kim.
Brigitta worked for 30 years in the medical field. Brigitta loved the adventures of traveling in the US and abroad. Brigitta fought a 10 month battle with cancer. Many thanks to all who loved her and supported her.
Brigitta is survived by her husband Berni, son Kim, grandchildren Tanae and Jaron Launer, and brother Manfred Melzer.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, UT. A social gathering will be held Wednesday, from 10:30-11:00 a.m., at the mortuary, prior to services.
