(nee Andritsch) Of Mequon. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the age of 93 years. Beloved wife and very best friend for almost 70 years of John. Cherished mother of Marlene (George) Lange and Daryl (Rita Hanson) Melzer. Sister-in-law of Miriam (the late Stanley) Melzer. Proud grandmother of James (Elizabeth) Lange, Michael Melzer, Karen (Michael Broshi) Lange and Anne (Kevin Collis) Melzer. Happy great grandma of Julia and Kristen Lange, Rowan Collis and Aaron Lange Broshi. Good friend and ‘co-in-law’ of Bill (the late Christine) Hanson. Also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation at the funeral home on Sunday May 15 (TODAY) from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 16 at LUMEN CHRISTI CATHOLIC CHURCH; 2700 West Mequon Road, corner North Range Line Road in Mequon (Please Meet at Church). Interment Wisconsin Memorial Park. Memorials to the Salvation Army would be deeply appreciated.
Dolores holds the family record for catching northern pike off the pier up north – not likely to be broken. But the thing that she loved even more than fishing was her family and friends. She gathered her family together and fed them every Sunday for many years, chased her grandchildren when they were toddlers, went to all their performances, traveled all over the world with John – and to Jack Pandl’s for brunch, and cheered all of us on in life. We will miss her very, very much.
