GENE MEHAFFEY, 85, of Sweeny passed from this life on Dec. 31, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Aug. 6, 1929 to Zulus O. & Mary Mehaffey in Gorman, Texas.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Pamela Ann Mehaffey Schroller & husband, Tynes of Sweeny and their son, Tynes Brandon Schroller; Michael Gene Mehaffey & wife, Cathy of Hamilton and their sons, Wade & Greg Mehaffey; brother, Wilbur Mehaffey & wife, Diane of Georgetown & 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara Ann; sister, Betty Ruth Mehaffey & brother, Harold Mehaffey.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Oaklawn Cemetery in Gorman,Texas with Ed Dulak officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
