Son of Cloriviere Edward Meem [1844-1914] and Mary Jane (Moe) [1838-1915].
Harry C. Meem, Sr., boarded at the Frederick Sellman boarding house when he first arrived as the Dickerson train station agent and telegraph operator in 1891. Serving from 1891-1906 and 1933-39, he was responsible for operating the station and the one-story frame freight house just to the west of it. [On November 19, 1902], Meem married the Sellman's daughter Nora and they built a home nearby (now 22175 Dickerson School Road). Source

Harry C. Meem, retired Baltimore and Ohi Railroad telegraph operator, died at his home at Dickerson Monday. A son of the late Clove and Mary Jane Meem, he was born in Washington Grove and resided at Dickerson for 45 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nora C. Meem; two children, Harry C. Meem, Jr., at home; Mrs. Dorothy Stanton, Arlington, Va.; two sisters, Marie and Nannie Meem, Alta Vista.
Funeral Thursday morning at 10 o'clock with requiem mass at St. Mary's church, Barnesville. Interment Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville. William B. Hilton, funeral director.
