Mrs. Olive Meeks Canady, 60, of Rt. 3, Box 308, died Saturday in New Hanover Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Sunday 5 pm from the Coble Oleander Chapel by the Rev. Milton Boone and the Rev. Paul Nix. Burial will be in the Seagate Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Tom Canady of Mill Spring, SC, and a brother, Owen Meeks of Polkton.
A native of Polkton, she was born September 4, 1910, the daughter of the late Parker A. Meeks and Helen Hildreth Meeks, and was the widow of Pride C. Canady. She was a saleslady at Newell's for a number of year.
Pallbearers will be Barry Miller, Dalton Dexter, Ed Craft, Jimmy Walton, Mark Carr, and Marcus Innis.
