Saks - Funeral service for Mrs. M. Pauline Medders Harper, 77, of Saks, will be at 2 p.m. today, July 26, 2012, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Harper and the Rev. Eugene Burgess officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends today from noon until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Harper passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at her residence.

Mrs. Harper is survived by her husband, Virgil "Johnny" Harper; daughter, Darline Harper; son, Darrel Harper; sisters, Earline M. Brown, Elizabeth M. Henry and Ann M. Haynes; brother, Cecil B. Medders; grandchildren, Robyn Harper and Denise Kemp; great-grandchildren, Caitlin Harper, Kristian Kemp, Brooke Willingham, Dylan Kemp and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Wayne Medders, Steve Medders, Keith Medders, Kenny Brown, Mike Henry, Wesley Haynes and Jason Medders.

Mrs. Harper was a native of Alexandria, where she graduated from Alexandria High School. She was also a member of Saks Baptist Church and retired from Anniston Army Depot.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C.V. and Velma Medders; sister, Frances Medders; brothers, Liston and Charles Medders; niece, Debbie Medders and nephew, Allen Brown. Chapel Hill Funeral Home will be servicing the Harper family 256-820-5151 www.chapelhillfh.com.
