Native Of County Dies February 9 In Columbus, OH
Services At Collista For Mrs. Carmie Conley Mrs. Carmie Conley, 44 of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, died in a Columbus, Ohio hospital at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, after an illness of five weeks. A native of the county, she was the daughter of Mrs. Minnie LeMasters Meade of Catlettsburg and the late Crate Meade. She had her husband Raymond Conley a former teacher of Johnson County, had been making their home in Mt. Sterling for the past year and half. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving besides her mother and husband, are two sons, Milburn and Gillie both at home. Survivors also include the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Minnie Hamilton, Jenkins, KY, Mrs. Stella Conley, Ashland, Mrs. Elizabeth Williams, Mrs. Gladys Rivers, Mrs. Suzie Rice, Taylor and James Meade all of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, Robert Meade, Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Marjorie Wheeler, Ashland and Mrs. Edna Rice, Cattletsburg. Funeral services were condcted at 2:00 p. m., Monday, February 11 at the Collista Freewill Baptist Church with Revs. Willard Wilcox and Adrian Davis officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at Collista under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home.
