Mildred I. Bean, age 89 of Frisco, Texas passed away on June 11, 2014 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on March 12, 1925 in Braddock, Pennsylvania to Inez (Brunson) and Fred McLeod. She grew up in Levelgreen, Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn Township High School. She married Bruce E. Bean in Detroit, Michigan in June, 1953.

She was a dedicated and loving wife and mother, and it would not be an exaggeration to say that she was truly a beautiful person. But her beauty transcended the person you saw on the outside. She had an inner-beauty that seemed to emanate from her very being; from her gentle, sweet spirit; her kind, loving heart; her radiant, beautiful smile; and the amazing warmth and empathy she showed to everyone she encountered. Her strong faith let Christ's love shine through her as a testament of His love for us. When God made the angels He must have used her as His model.

Mildred is survived by her two children, Ronald Bean (Kathy) of Frisco, Texas, and Steven Bean (Pat) of Milford, Michigan; two grandchildren, Jillian Tekell (Jonathan) and Chris Bean; sister, Maryanne McDonald (Robert) of Tarpon Spring, Florida; brother, Chuck McLeod (Vera) of Trafford, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Ensor Bean; son, Brent Allen Bean; brother, Fred McLeod II; and parents, Inez and Fred McLeod.

A Graveside Service will be held at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 11:15 AM. Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, www.alzfdn.org
