Channey Elaine McLeod Dinkins COLUMBIA - Funeral services for Channey Elaine McLeod Dinkins will be held, Wednesday November 9, 2016 at 12 noon Brown Chapel AME Church 808 Barnes Street Columbia 29201. Interment will follow at the Brown Chapel AME Church cemetery. Ms. Dinkins will be placed in the church at 11 AM for viewing until the hour of service. She died Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Providence Hospital in Columbia. The family will receive friends from 6 7 PM Tuesday evening at the Palmer Memorial Chapel. Ms. Dinkins was a graduate of Dreher High School in the Class of 1971 and a lifelong member of Brown Chapel AME Church in Arthurtown. Surviving are her husband, Frederick Dinkins of Orlando, FL; a son Vincent (Allegra) Dinkins of Atlanta, GA; four sisters, Carolyn (Tommie) Whetstone, Barbara M. McCoy, S. Gwen McLeod, all of Columbia, and Glennell (Isaac) Mathan of Gadsden, SC; two grandsons; and a host of other relatives and friends. Additional information may be found www.palmermemorialchapel.com.
