Ruby L. Alsup, Resident of Ovilla
Ruby L. Alsup, 80, of Ovilla, died Thursday, Oct.1, 1992, at her residence in Ovilla.
She was born on Sept. 16, 1912, in Elkmont, Ala., to Odie Lee and Sallie Davenport McLemore. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Ovilla and a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Ovilla.
Survivors include; one son, Home L. Alsup of Waxahachie; daughter, Imogene Boyer of Fort Worth; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bessie Trees of DeSoto and Elizabeth Odom of Ovilla.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Homer Alsup.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home with the Rev. Grady B. Brittain and Mitchell Elrod officiating. Interment will follow in the Ovilla Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Boze-Mitchell today from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home.
