She was born Aug 26, 1937 in Newburg township in Pike County to Henry and Mary Vickory McIntire. She married John McLaughlin in February 1954 and married Walter Baughman April 6, 1968 in Stockton. He died July 4, 1998
Mrs. Baughman worked as a beauty operator in her own home with her sister, Kathryn Penstone. She worked at Howard's Industries in Milford and the State of Illinois School for the Developmentally Disabled in Jacksonville. She was a member of the Detroit United Methodist Church, the Pike County Home Community and Education ( formerly Home Extension) and was active in and past president of Griggsville PTA. She loved to cook and can vegetables from her garden.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Lawber of Pittsfield; one son, Craig (wife Paula) McLaughlin of Quincy; two grandsons, John Paul McLaughlin of Macomb and Joseph Scott McLaughlin of Decatur; an Uncle Hubert McIntire of Winchester; a brother, Jim McIntire of New Salem; three sisters, Kathryn Penstone and Karen (husband Jim) Brown, both of Pittsfield, and June Johnson of Griggsville; and several Nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1969, two brothers, John and Jr., and a sister Marjorie Kirk.
Funeral services will be today, Wednesday, March 31, at 11 a.m. in the Niebur Funeral Home with the Rev. Rendell Mathews officiating. Burial will be in the Blue River Cemetery in Detroit. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of services. Memorials are to the Blue River Cemetery.
