Betty Jane McGuire, age 73 of Shepherdsville, was born December 6, 1931 to the late Walter D. and Lena Elizabeth Hobbs Shannon in Ardmore, Alabama and returned to her heavenly father Tuesday May 17, 2005 at Baptist Hospital East. Mrs. McGuire attended the Church of God of Prophecy
Among those who preceded her in death includes her husband, Paul McGuire, a sister, Ann Lee Vess, and her parents.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Norene Hovis, Linda Gaus (Clarence), Paul R. McGuire (Julie Ann), and Kevin Dale McGuire (Donna); sisters Frances Cagle and Dorothy Broadway; brother, Charles Shannon; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
The funeral service for Mrs. Betty Jane McGuire will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks, Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd, where family and friends may kindly visit from 2-9 p.m. on Wednesday. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
