Aspermont - Annie Lou (McGraw) Anderson slipped quietly into the arms of angels on March 5th in Aspermont, Texas. She celebrated 91 years young December 17, 2011. She was the second of six children born to Burl and Ellie McGraw in Ranger, Texas. She attended Ranger High School. She married Aaron N. Anderson in 1938 in Ranger and two sons were born to that union. She owned and operated the Hornet's Inn in Aspermont for almost thirty years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Aspermont. She was active in her community and loved her family, friends and the church. She was a loving and giving person who was loved by everyone she knew. Family was the most important thing in her life. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. She loved gospel and county music and the highlight of her year was her annual trip to Branson where she and her son vacationed for twelve consecutive years until she could no longer travel.
She is survived by her son Jerry F. Anderson and daughter-in-law Karen Lallier Anderson of Southlake; her daughter-in-law Oveda Lee of Abilene; five grandchildren, David Anderson of Abilene, Daniel Anderson of Hawley, Jerry Don Anderson of Dallas, Lance Anderson of Red Oak and Traci Anderson of Abilene; two step-grandchildren, Sean Kozak of Vancouver, B. C. and Michelle Kozak of Columbus, Ohio; nine great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; one sister Doncie Reynolds of Olden; sister-in-laws Betty McGraw of Olden and Eleanor McGraw of Torrance, Ca.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband Aaron N. (Andy) Anderson and her son David N. Anderson in 1990 and two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7th at Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8th at the Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, Texas. In lieu of flowers and other customary remembrances, the family requests that you make a charitable contribution to your favorite charity in her memory.
