Bernice McGinnity (nee Zukowski), age 92 of Hobart, formerly of Merrillville, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, George; daughter, Barbara "Babs" Knapp; three brothers: Martin P. Zukowski, Albin Zukowski, and Milton Zukowski; two sisters: Florence Sobierajski and Lottie Doland; parents: Joseph and Johanna Zukowski. Bernice was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Merrillville. She was a member of Harvest House and a former member of Marian Funeral Choir. She was a retired tester at the Met Lab, Gary Works, U.S. Steel with 39 years of service.
