Norma Sue Coble, 85, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, March 30, 2016.

Norma was born in Picher, Oklahoma, on June 3, 1930, to Roy Elvin McGehee and Ruth (Myres) McGehee. Following her graduation from High School, Norma attended NEO A&M taking business classes. Finding the love of her life early, Norma was married to Don Coble in Picher, Oklahoma, on November 20, 1949. They were both 19 years old. Don and Norma had attended school together from the first grade, and were in the High School band together. What a beautiful marriage that was made in Heaven. To say that Norma was an ordinary person is an understatement. Trying to write of all her accomplishments, awards, and community involvement would take a book. Norma made an impression on everybody she met. Her dedicated community involvement included 50 years plus as owner and operator of Coble’s Flowers and Gifts, 53 years plus member of Broadway Baptist Church, 50 year plus member of the Pilot Club, 44 year member of the Sand Springs Women’s Club, 29 year member of the Rotary Club that included being a Paul Harris Fellow, member of the Sand Springs Chamber of Commerce, Sand Springs Quota Club, Women’s Association of the Tulsa Boys Home, Hometown Hero of Sand Springs, Honorary Conductor for Symphony at Sunset, Past-President of Tulsa Floral Association, and member of the Oklahoma State Floral Association. Norma was also co-founder of several other businesses. Her kind and gentle personality was a trademark that everyone could see. What a great loss to the community. Norma will always be remembered and missed.
