Mrs. Dora Myrtle DuVall McDowell, 75, of 1503 Grove St., was dead on arrival at Home Hospital at 3:40 a.m. Sunday. She had been in failing health since July 1.
Born in Marshfield, she was reared in West Lebanon and Lafayette. Her marriage here in 1921 was to Arthur J. McDowell who survives. He is a retired employe of the Peerless Wire Goods Co.
Mrs. McDowell was a graduate of Jefferson High School and a member of past treasurer of the Frist Free Methodist Church. She was a longtime Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Rossville WCTU.
Surviving with her husband are a brother, Thomas B. DuVall of Indianapolis, and a sister, Mary McDowell, of Lafayette.
