Esther Corene McDaniel was born on November 12, 1927, in Laurel County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Ethel Hopper Hubbard. She was united in marriage to Woodrow McDaniel, who preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Connie McKnight (Junior) of London and Pat Robords (Larry) of Lexington, two sisters, Lorene Vance and Christine Walden, both of London, two grandchildren, Tom McKnight (Emily) of Greenbelt, Maryland, and Joey McKnight (Rachael) of London, two great-grandchildren, Ellie Jo and Joseph Drake McKnight, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn her passing. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by one sister, Marie Hubbard.
She was a farmer, homemaker and a member of Laurel River Missionary Baptist Church.
Esther Corene McDaniel departed this life at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly on Thursday, March 29, 2018, being 97 years, 4 months and 17 days of age.
Funeral services for Esther Corene McDaniel will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Craig Morgan and Darren Cupp officiating. Burial will follow in the Rough Creek Cemetery at London.
The family of Esther Corene McDaniel will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home from 12 Noon Saturday until the funeral hour of 2 PM Saturday.
