Maureen M. Walker, 82, of Coatesville, passed away Monday, April 9, 2007, at the Harrison House of Christiana.
She was the wife of Frank W. Walker, with whom she shared more than 50 years of marriage.
Born in Londonderry, Ireland, Maureen was the daughter of the late John and Maggie McDaid.
A Coatesville resident since 1967, she was briefly employed by the Coatesville School District as a cafeteria worker.
Maureen was a member of the St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church of Coatesville and was a part of the Ladies Society of the church.
Maureen was a devoted wife, mother and loving grandmother to her four grandchildren.
Maureen is survived, in addition to her husband, by her two children, Terry Walker, husband of Diane of Coatesville and Cathy Stirling, wife of James III of Coatesville; four grandchildren, Kyle, Erin, Alyssa and Bryan; and two siblings, Isabelle Harley of Ireland and Kathleen McDaid of Canada.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, April 13, 11 a.m., at the St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church, Sixth Avenue and Chestnut Street, Coatesville, followed by interment in the St. Cecilia's Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing, which will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg.
