Mrs. Annie M. Bailey
~ Mrs. Annie McCraw Bailey, 81, of Route 2, widow of Pink Bailey, died Wednesday at 10 a.m. at her residence after three years of declining health and several months of serious illness.
~ A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Nathaniel and Alie Quinn McCraw and a member of Lavonia Baptist Church.
~ Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Catherine Ruppe of Gaffney; one son, Alfred S. Bailey of Forest City; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Horton and Miss Pear McCraw, both of Gaffney; one brother, L.V. McCraw of Mooresboro, N.C.; two grandchildren.
~ Services were held today at Lavonia Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Ray Webb with burial in the church cemetery.
~ Pallbearers were Steve Peeler, Jerry Ellis, Dewey Bates, Bobby Owens, Henry Sellars and Dean Ellis.
