Jack McCoury, 78, of 45 Taylor Road passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008.
Jack was born Sept. 3, 1930 in Avery Co. He was the son of the late Willie and Rhetta Buchanan McCoury Greer. Jack was preceded in death by his wife Frances Goforth McCoury.
Surviving are his daughter Jacqueline McCoury of the home. Sisters; Edie Brown and Ethel Lail of Hickory, Louise Garland of Spruce Pine, Bobbie Jean Eller of Charlotte. Brothers: Charles Greer of Swannanoa, Russ Greer of Salisbury and Herbert Miller of Rustburg, Va.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday Nov. 22, 2008 in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Frank, Avery Co. with Rev. Rodney Millsape officiating. Burial will be in Newland Cemetery.
