Elizabeth "Sis" (Martine) McCormack a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Wednesday morning January 4, 2006 at Glen Ridge Nursing Center in Malden, following a lenghty illness. She was 85 years old.
Elizabeth was born in Boston and grew up in Charlestown, where she attended Boston Public Schools. She was a homemaker.

"Sis" is the wife of the late John J. McCormack. She is the devoted mother of John J. McCormack of Bridgewater, Helen Albertelle of Billerica, Charles McCormack of Medford, Elizabeth Hight of Medford and the late Frederick McCormack. She is the loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is the sister of the late Grace Kelley, Helen Madden, John and Frederick Martine, Margaret Pigott and Mary Martine. Sister-in-law of Bob Pigott of Charlestown.

"Sis's" Funeral will be held on Saturday January 7, 2006 from the Frank H. Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 9 am. followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for "Sis" will be held on Friday January 6, 2006 from 4 to 8 pm. Burial will take place following her Funeral Mass at Mount Hope Cemetery, Walk Hill St. Boston, Mass.
