Virginia L. (McClanahan) Anderson, 84, of Smithville, MO passed away Sept 11, 2002 at North Kansas City Hospital.
She was born on May 15, 1918 to Fred and Aldyth (Ward) McClanahan near Gower MO where she attended school and grew up.
Virginia was united in marriage to Howard Anderson, and after their marriage they lived near Smithville where they made their home. Her husband, Howard, passed away in 1972.
She worked at Sunshine Biscuit in Kansas City, Ks., for many years.
Virginia was also preceded in death by her parents, son, Stanley Anderson, 2 grandchildren, Cindy and Kevin Anderson, and 2 brothers, Herman D. and Bill McClanahan.
Survived by: son Kenneth Anderson, of the home, granddaughter Christi Revis, Kansas City MO, great-grandson, Payton, daughter-in-law, Janice Mello, Kansas City MO, 2 brothers, Ray McClanahan, Gower, and Jim McClanahan, Overland Park KS, and sister, Wardie Hines, Gower, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
