Ellen McCann Donnelly, nickname "Nellie", was born in England and immigrated to the USA with her parents as a young child, settling into the YoungstownOH/SharonPA area. Her mother died when she was young. Nellie married John Donnelly at St. Ann RC Church in Youngstown, Ohio on 24 Sept 1901. Their only child - Catherine Marie born 1908. John was unable to care for his family properly due to his addictions therefore Nellie and their daughter lived with her father & brother in Sharon, PA on the border of the Ohio, Youngstown area. Both remained close to the Donnelly family per the Donnelly notes. John died in 1939 and is buried in Calvary in his brother Patrick's family plot. Catherine Marie, their daughter died unexpectedly in 1958 of stomach cancer and was buried in Sharon,PA.
Nellie died in 1961. Nellie had her daughter's remains moved to Calvary Cem in Pittsburgh PA per her 1961 Will. Their graves are close to the Patrick Donnelly Family Plot where John, her husband, is buried.
