MRS. JOHN F. ARTHUR DIES AT REDLANDS
Death Must Have Been Sudden As Letters Recently Received, Stated She Was in Good Health
News of the death of Mrs. Clara Arthur, wife of John F. Arthur,formerly engaged in the real estate business in Washington, has been received by Mrs. Edgar S. McCafferty. Details of her death were not given but it Is believed she died suddenly as letters received recently said that all members of the family were enjoying their usual health.
The Arthur family left Washington(IN) a few years ago for Redlands Cal., where the death of Mrs. Arthur occurred. Burial will be made a Redlands, it is presumed, aa no local arrangements for the funeral have been made.
Mrs. Arthur was a daughter of Henderson McCafferty and she was born in Davless county. May 2nd, 1861. After her marriage to Mr. Arthur they lived on a farm in Harrison township but later moved to this city where they made their home for many years. While she lived here Mrs. Arthur was active in the work of the Baptist church and is lovingly remembered here by a host of friends.
She is survived by her husband and three children, Frank and Cecil Arthur and Mrs. Wilbur Acton, all of Redlands. Edgar S. McCafferty of this city, is a brother. She also leaves another brother, William McCafferty of Danville, Illinois, and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Walters of Columbus, Indiana
