Virginia Beach - Viola Venus Mauldin, 93, passed away November 7, 2011 in Virginia Beach, and has been a resident of Norfolk since 1955. She was born in Long Island, NY and was the widow of William L. Mauldin and preceded in death by her 2 sisters and brother. She was an avid Bridge player, devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children Gail Johnson and husband Jimmy, Bill Mauldin and wife Jill; grandchildren Kelli Dunn, Sherri Shapiro and husband Shawn, Sierra Mauldin and Dylan Mauldin; great grandchildren Shawn Shapiro, Summer Shapiro, Dan Dunn, Grace Dunn and niece Patricia Trevor and husband Bruce.
A memorial service will be held on Friday Nov. 11, 2011 3pm at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Tidewater Drive Chapel.
