Leona M. Blankenship, 70, died April 9 at Mountain Towers Healthcare.
She was born Oct. 16, 1939, in Bassett, Neb., to Gottfried and Mae Mauch.
She was a child care provider and a member of the Moose Auxiliary.
Leona is survived by five children, Richard John Wright, Randy Lee Wright, Ronald Wayne Betts, Debbie Lee Anderson-Phillips and Kimberly Lynn Blankenship; 11 grandchildren, Isaac Landon Wright, Jesse Lee Wright, Richard John Wright Jr., Randy Wayne Wright, Michelle Dawn Wright, Trevor Blackburn, Kenny McCall, Klairrissa Lee McCall, Tyler Lee Blankenship, Robert Lee Pountney III and Crystal Lee Pountney; two great-grandchildren, Caleb Lee Wright and Daniel Wright.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Gladess Mauch; and two brothers, Swede Mauch and Doc Mauch.
