BERNARD L. MATTINGLY

Bernard L. Mattingly, 76, of 126 Seymour Street, died Saturday at Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for several months.

Mr. Mattingly was born February 19, 1890, in Cresaptown. He was a retired heavy construction equipment operator, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and of the Holy Name Society.

Surviving are his widow, Ruth (Specht) Mattingly; three sons, Carroll Mattingly, Uwehland, Pa.; Robert C. Mattingly, Cumberland, and Paul E. Mattingly, Scott Air Force Base, Ill; three brothers, Raymond Mattingly, Cumberland, Joseph Mattingly, Falls Church, Va.; George Mattingly, Struthers, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Mary West and Mrs. Ethel Halloran, both of Bradenton, Fla., and four grandchildren.

The body is at the Scarpelli Funeral home.

A requiem mass will be celebrated today at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Kave, Chester Crabtree, Charles Twigg, Prtrick Foss, William Mulvey, and Darrell Simpson.
